TheClub Serres forUNESCO presents its compliments to the Members of the Organization and has th e honour to inform them that UNWTO is organizing the second Trainin Course on Tourism and Biodiversity for up to 30 participantsfrom Member Organizations

. The course aims to transfer knowledge on:

How to harmonize tourism development and conservation and sustainable use of biological

diversity

How to develop a strategic plan for tourism development, in particular in ecologically,

socially and economically sensitive areas

How to approach the operati

onal process of designing, financing and communicating

biodiversity-based tourism products

How to market and promote biodiversity-based tourism products

How to specify and monitor objectives towards preserving biological diversity for tourism

and environment

How tourism and biodiversity are organized within the UN family

Thesecond course, focussing especially on coastal ecosystems, will be heldat the

Wadden Sea Biosphere Reserve inSerres from 14th–26thOktomber  2012

.

The training course will be held in English.
