TheClub Serres forUNESCO presents its compliments to the Members of the Organization and has th e honour to inform them that UNWTO is organizing the second Trainin Course on Tourism and Biodiversity for up to 30 participantsfrom Member Organizations
. The course aims to transfer knowledge on:
How to harmonize tourism development and conservation and sustainable use of biological
diversity
How to develop a strategic plan for tourism development, in particular in ecologically,
socially and economically sensitive areas
How to approach the operati
onal process of designing, financing and communicating
biodiversity-based tourism products
How to market and promote biodiversity-based tourism products
How to specify and monitor objectives towards preserving biological diversity for tourism
and environment
How tourism and biodiversity are organized within the UN family
Thesecond course, focussing especially on coastal ecosystems, will be heldat the
Wadden Sea Biosphere Reserve inSerres from 14th–26thOktomber 2012
.
The training course will be held in English.
